1. If I'm not comfortable ordering online, is there another way I can order?
Please feel free to call us during studio hours: Monday-Thursday from 9:30am–4:00pm CST, and Friday from 9:30am-1:00pm CST. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. We will be closed on the following for holidays: Memorial Day (May 26th), 4th of July (July 4th), Labor Day (September 1st), and Thanksgiving (November 27th & 28th).

2. How does a Celebration Signature Plate work?
It’s easy! It is used as a unique alternative to guest books. Simply place your order online for your personalized piece, have your guests sign it at the event with the pottery marker we provide, then bake it in your home oven. The names of your special guests will be glazed onto your piece forever!

3. What comes with my Celebration Signature Plate kit?
Our kit comes with everything you need! It will consist of the plate, platter or tray of your choice, a black pottery marker, instructions for you, and signing tips for your guests.

4. What if I want a second pottery marker or one that is another color?
While there are no substitutions for the black marker we include, an additional marker may be purchased. In fact, to speed along signing, add color contrast and as a backup for the first marker, a second is recommended.

5. Once I order my kit, how long will it take to reach me?
Please see the availability notation on each design page to see how long it will take before your order is shipped. Please remember to allow time for delivery. If you need your plate sooner, please submit a rush order request and we will to our best to accommodate you. Additional fees may apply for rush orders.

6. Are there any special instructions for signing the plate?
It’s easy – just like writing with a felt tip marker! All the instructions you will need will be included in the kit.

7. Is there any way to erase the pottery marker if a signature smears or if someone writes something I don’t want to leave on my plate?
While it is unlikely that the paint marker will smear since it dries fairly quickly, accidents do happen! Our instruction kit will include full instructions on how to correct smudges or errors.

8. How long can I wait after the plate has been signed before baking it?
After waiting at least 24 hours for the pottery marker to dry, the plate can be baked at your convenience following the instructions provided with your plate. Please keep in mind your plate is not functional until it has been baked.

9. If I am going to have my plate signed at different events, can I bake it between signings?
We recommend baking your plate one time, however, it is possible to have your plate signed at multiple events. Please refer to the instructions provided with your plate for information on signing and baking your plate.

10. Are the completed Celebration Signature Plates® safe to use with food?
The pottery markers we supply with your kit contain no toxic ingredients. Once baked, finished pieces can be used to serve food and beverages. However, since they are a keepsake item, we recommend they be used as decorative pieces only. While finished pieces are dishwasher safe, handwashing is recommended.

11. How many signatures will fit on a plate? How do I decide which size plate is right for my event?
At the bottom of each design page, there are pictures of the plates, platters and trays you can put your design on. On each plate is the number of guests each piece will accommodate. Please keep in mind that signatures vary in size and some guests may choose to add a personal note; therefore, the actual number of signatures at your event may vary from our recommendation. If necessary, guests can sign the back of the plate.

12. What if we run out of room for signing on the front of the plate?
We recommend a host or hostess to oversee signing to remind your guests to write small so that there will be plenty of room for every guest’s signature. If necessary, your guests may also sign on the back of the plate.

13. What if I am having more than 300 guests at my event?
We have been conservative in estimating the number of guest signatures each plate can hold. Therefore, it is possible that each plate may hold more signatures than we state. In addition, the back of the plate may be signed. You may wish to have two plates for all guests to sign, or one for children and one for adults. Another alternative is to have your plate signed at a smaller related event, such as a rehearsal dinner, bachelorette party or shower.

14. Are the plates returnable?
Because each piece is personalized especially for your event, they are not returnable. Please make sure you give all the correct information when placing your order so that your plate is just what you want!

15. What kits are available?
Currently we offer a variety of designs in a choice of colors for many events, occasions and holidays. Custom designs are also available. We are always adding to our collection, so please keep checking our website for the latest selections!

16. Will my design look exactly like the samples?
Your Celebration Signature Plate is individually hand-painted especially for you. You may see slight variations in color and design; this guarantees that each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind.

17. If I provide a color sample, can you match it?
Because these pieces are fired, a process which can cause slight variations in color, an exact color match cannot be guaranteed. We would, however, be happy to coordinate colors to go along with your color scheme.

18. Do you offer custom designs?
We would be happy to work with you to create the perfect Celebration Signature Plate for you! If there is a particular color scheme, invitation or theme you want to coordinate with together we can do it! Additional fees apply for custom designs. Click here to visit our custom design page. 19. Will the colors I see on my computer match the piece I receive?
The colors shown on your particular computer display are affected by many factors, and may vary from the actual piece. We have done our best to accurately display our products on the Celebration Plates website, but we cannot be held responsible for the color variations of your monitor.

20. How do I redeem a gift certificate?
Please phone our studio to place your order when using your gift certificate. If the cost of the item(s) that you select exceeds the amount of your gift certificate, then you will be responsible for paying the difference. Your Gift Certificate is not redeemable for cash. Gift certificates cannot be applied to the shipping fee or sales tax.
